AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami launched a scathing attack on the DMK and BJP, holding them responsible for the soaring inflation rates plaguing both the state of Tamil Nadu and the central government.
Speaking at a campaign meeting in Namakkal, Palaniswami criticized the lack of action by both the state and central governments in addressing the rising prices of petrol and diesel. He highlighted the adverse effects of escalating fuel prices on various sectors, including fisheries, rig businesses, and agriculture, emphasizing that the AIADMK government had previously taken proactive measures to curb inflation.
Palaniswami underscored the deteriorating law and order situation in Tamil Nadu under the DMK’s governance, citing a surge in criminal activities such as murders, dacoity, and sexual assaults. He expressed concerns over the safety of women in the state, attributing the rise in crime rates to the current administration’s alleged failure to maintain law and order.
Encouraging voters to reflect on the disparities between the AIADMK’s ten-year tenure and the current DMK government, Palaniswami lamented the discontinuation of several welfare schemes initiated by the AIADMK for the betterment of the people. He also accused the DMK of negligence in combating the menace of drug abuse, highlighting the easy availability of drugs under their watch.
