Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin launched a blistering attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging corruption and propagandist tactics during his address at the closing ceremony of the 62-day Bharat Jodo Nyay yatra in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park ground.
Stalin accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of prioritizing foreign trips and false propaganda during his ten-year tenure, asserting that it was time to put an end to such practices. He highlighted the agenda of the recently formed INDIA bloc, emphasizing the fear it has instilled in the BJP, leading to attempts to defame the alliance.
The Chief Minister criticized the BJP’s labeling of the INDIA bloc as corrupt, citing the electoral bond scam as evidence of the BJP’s own corruption. He alleged that the BJP had amassed Rs 8,000 crore through electoral bonds, branding it as “white-collar corruption” and questioning the credibility of a Prime Minister who presides over such practices.
Stalin reiterated the INDIA bloc’s commitment to serving the people and emphasized their sole objective of defeating the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He praised Rahul Gandhi’s efforts to understand the pulse of India through extensive state visits and characterized the journey as a mission to restore the country from the damages inflicted by the BJP.
With the announcement of election dates, Stalin emphasized the paramount importance of defeating the BJP, asserting that it posed the most significant threat to the nation. He underscored the significance of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo yatra, envisioning its culmination in the capture of New Delhi and the establishment of a truly federal, secular, and inclusive government.
Stalin’s scathing critique reflects the growing opposition against the BJP’s policies and practices, setting the stage for a fierce electoral battle in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
