Actor Vijay Kumar is all set to join forces with Seththumaan-fame director Thamizh for their upcoming film titled Election. The film, as announced by the makers, promises to be a compelling political drama with a generous dose of action, offering audiences a unique perspective on the intricacies of local body elections. Set in the picturesque village of Arangaldurgam in Ambur, Election unfolds against the backdrop of a fiercely contested local body election for a counselor position. Director Thamizh reveals that the film will delve into the dynamics of politics from the lens of a family, offering a nuanced portrayal of power struggles, alliances, and betrayals. Adding to the intrigue of Election is the casting of Ayothi-fame Preethi Asrani in the lead role, alongside a talented ensemble including George Maryan, Vathikuchi-fame Dileepan, Richa Joshi, Natchiyal Suganthi, and Pavel Navageethan. Director Thamizh also emphasizes the significance of fresh faces in the cast, stating that they are integral to capturing the essence and authenticity of the film.
