As Tamil Nadu recovers from the recent heavy rains brought by Cyclone Michaung, the Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai has issued a weather forecast indicating the possibility of rainfall from today until the 17 December. The forecast sheds light on the atmospheric conditions that may influence the weather patterns in the region.DDG RMC Chennai, P. Senthamarai Kannan, highlighted the presence of an atmospheric downward air circulation in the Southeast Arabian Sea and the adjoining Maldives areas. This weather phenomenon is expected to result in light to moderate rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, and Karaikal on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of December. Subsequently, on the 15th, 16th, and 17th, rainfall is anticipated in a few places.
For the next two days, Chennai and its suburbs are expected to experience partly cloudy conditions, with the possibility of rain in select areas. The temperature is forecasted to range between 24 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius during this period.
