The Tamil Nadu Transport Department has taken proactive measures to ensure the smooth return of residents to Chennai following the Ayudha Puja holidays. Plans have been put in place to operate 8,000 buses from various locations, facilitating the comfortable and safe journey of those who visited their hometowns during this auspicious occasion.

The Ayudha Puja festival is a significant cultural event celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion across Tamil Nadu. As part of this celebration, individuals often travel to their hometowns to be with their families and participate in the festivities. Recognizing the increased travel demands during this period, the State Transport Department has stepped up its efforts to meet these requirements.

Over this three-day period, approximately 4.80 lakh people have availed themselves of these government bus services, highlighting the significant role of public transport in facilitating holiday travel.
