Madras University is set to expand its educational offerings by introducing 3-year graduate courses in B. Com, M. Com, and BBA through its Long Distance Education Centre. Starting from the upcoming academic year, these programs will be accessible to a wider audience, thanks to the online format. The university has taken the initiative to adapt to modern educational methods, making quality education more accessible to students.
The decision to launch these online courses comes after careful consideration and extensive analysis. Initially, there were plans to introduce online courses for three graduate programs and six post-graduate programs, including Public Administration, Economics, and Commerce. However, the university has decided to begin with three undergraduate courses due to various factors.
One of the key features of these programs is their online delivery. The university has partnered with external providers to offer video classes, ensuring that students can access lectures and educational materials remotely. This approach aligns with the changing landscape of education, where online learning has become increasingly popular, offering flexibility and convenience to students.
Officials at the university have emphasized that the entire process, from application to course delivery, will be conducted online. This means that aspiring students can enroll in these programs and pursue their studies from any location with internet access. This move not only accommodates students’ diverse needs but also opens up opportunities for individuals who might not have been able to pursue higher education through traditional on-campus programs.
