Survey As the 2024 Lok Sabha elections draw nearer, political parties in India are gearing up to win the hearts of voters. With the Assembly elections in five crucial states scheduled for later this year, parties like the BJP and Congress have intensified their campaigns, eyeing not only the state-level contests but also the broader 2024 electoral battle. In this context, India TV, in partnership with CNX, recently conducted an opinion poll to gauge the sentiments of voters across India. The results indicate that the DMK-Congress alliance is on track to sweep Tamil Nadu once again. According to the India TV-CNX opinion poll, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), led by MK Stalin, is projected to secure 31 percent of the votes in Tamil Nadu. In contrast, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) may garner 25 percent of the votes. This poll suggests that the DMK, under Stalin’s leadership, is poised to outperform the AIADMK, led by Edappadi K Palaniswami, in the 2024 elections. However, the situation for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, appears to be more challenging in Tamil Nadu. The poll indicates that the BJP is expected to secure just seven percent of the votes in the state. On the other hand, the Congress is projected to obtain 11 percent of the votes, further emphasizing the strength of the DMK-Congress alliance in the region.
