Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has announced scheduled maintenance work on the main water supply pipeline. This essential maintenance work will temporarily interrupt drinking water supply in five zones, including prominent areas like Royapuram and Anna Nagar, on the 5 October. The maintenance project, is focused on the main water pipeline that carries water from the Kilpauk Water Purification Plant. The project will commence at 10:00 AM on 4 October and is expected to conclude at 10:00 AM the following day. During this period, residents and businesses in the affected areas will experience a temporary suspension of their drinking water supply. It’s essential for residents to make necessary arrangements to cope with this interruption, such as storing an adequate supply of water in advance and planning for any potential inconveniences.
