Women’s Reservation Bill was brought shrouded in secrecy, opposition parties were not informed before session, said DMK MP Kanimozhi today
Speaking during the discussion on the bill today, Kanimozhi said, ‘Women have a right this country as much as men, we have a right to be in the Parliament, it belongs to us’.
‘This is not a bill but an act to remove discrimination,’ says Kanimozhi.
‘If a man gets the quality of women, he becomes god but when a woman becomes strong and brave she becomes devil.’
‘Jayalalitha, Mayawati, Sonia Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Sushma Swaraj — one of the names you always forget — strong women leaders.’
Stop worshipping us, we want to be treated as equals, she added.
