Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday unveiled the seven-foot long statue of veteran playback singer TM Soundararajan near Muni Salai Junction in Madurai. TMS, a Carnatic musician and a playback singer in Tamil cinema for over six and a half decades, sang over 10,000 songs including devotional, semi-classical, Carnatic, classical and light music songs. Speaking on the occasion, Stalin hailed his contribution to the field of music. The event was attended by State Minister’s Swaminathan, Murthy and EV Velu.
