A priest who regularly performs Pooja at Vinayaka temple in front of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa ‘s residence at Poes Garden, has filed a complaint against Madhavan, husband of Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa, of threatening him.

He alleged in his complaint that he was performing poojas regularly at the place and recently Madhavan along with Deepa visited the place and asked him to stop doing daily Pooja. He said that the couple also threw out Pooja articles from the place of worship. They allegedly issued death threats to him.

City police summoned Madhavan and conducted an enquiry.
