Two history sheeters killed in police encounter

Two people were killed in a police encounter on the outskirts of Chennai on early Tuesday morning. According to police, the deceased were identified as Vinod and Ramesh and both attacked a sub-inspector during routine vehicle check. The cops claimed that they had to open fire for self-defense after a four-member gang attempted to kill a sub-Inspector.

The duo have criminal cases pending against them and were ‘A’ category rowdies. Police claimed that Vinod allies ‘Chotta’ Vinod had more than 50 cases pending against him. Among them, 10 murders, 15 attempted murders and 10 joint robberies
