BJP state president K Annamalai said that people of the country will not accept ‘INDIA’, the new front floated by non – BJP parties, including the DMK, to take on the BJP in 2024 elections. Heading a protest against the DMK at Sholinganallur in Chennai, K Annamalai said the opposition ‘alliance of convenience’ comprises of `butchers of democracy, dynasts and 3rd generation corrupts.’ He slammed the opposition alliance alleging that the parties which supported separatism like DMK and National Conference have joined hands with Congress ‘which wants our country divided.’ “DMK in 1950s and 1960s supported separatism. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah wanted independent Kashmir,” said Annamalai. Similar protests were organsied by the BJP across the state highlighting ten issues including the alleged mishandling of Mekedatu dam row by Tamil Nadu government. “People will not accept those who spoke secessionism, just because they come together and say that they represent India,” said Annamalai.
