Kanchi seer Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamy left Perur village on 11 December and reached Gangalakuru village. A press release said that though it was raining, His Holiness was enthusiastically received by people. His Holiness commenced Pujas after giving darshan to devotees. “Vijayendra Saraswati Swamy gave darshan and then performed Trikala Pujas. He addressed the concluding session in Perur village. Swarna Kankanms were given to Sri Vishwanatha Gopalakrishna Sastry and Sri Ramlal Sastry commending their services to Shastras. Octogenarian devotee Sri Behera Garu of Kamakshi Peetam was also blessed with Swarna Kankanam commending his devotion & service to society. His Holiness then blessed Swarna Kasu to Enamandram Venugopala Sastry during the conclusion of Ashwalayana Sabha,” the release added.
