In a shocking broad day light incident, a lovelorn youth killed a college girl student by pushing her before an EMU suburban train at the busy St.Thomas Mount Railway station on Thursday afternoon. Police said the youth Satish (23), a resident of Adambakkam, was in one-sided lover with a second year college girl Satya of the same area.

As she refused to accept his love, Satish met Sathya at the Railway station to confess his love. A wordy duel broke out and in a fit of rage, he pushed her before a running train and killed her. The train ran over her and she was killed on the spot. Satish fled the scene after committing the crime, which
has sent shock waves in the station premises. Acting on information, Government Railway Poliace, Railway Protection Force and Police personnel came to the spot and shifted her body to the government hospital for autopsy. Police have launched a manhunt to trace Satish.
