Even before the pandemic is over, the Health officials are now battling the rapid spread of A-H1N1 influenza across the State. Officials said at least 200 influenza cases are being reported every day in Tamil Nadu and the total number of cases has gone up to 1,044.
Meanwhike, BJP Mahila Morcha President and Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan on Sunday urged the Tamil Nadu government to urgently organise medical camps to prevent the spread of diseases like swine flu and dengue.
She said the government should also provide necessary medicines and treatment to children suffering from fever.
