Schools across Tamilnadu reopened today after summer vacations for students between class one and ten.

Minister for School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi earlier said that the schools for classes 11 and 12 will reopen on June 27 and June 20 respectively.

Students were welcomed by teachers. Meanwhile, parents are worried to send their children to schools following recent reports of Covid surge in Tamilnadu.

All the existing standard operating procedures will be followed in schools, Tamil Nadu Minister   Ma Subramanian said. He also said Corbevax vaccines for 12-14 year olds are being administered regularly and with reopening of schools from today, this exercise would continue. ‘The students who have completed 29 days after receiving the first dosage will be administered with second dose,’ he said.
