
A couple of days after announcing that kindergarten classes will be shut in Government schools due to shortage of teachers, the Tamilnadu government on Thursday said LKG and UKG would continue
to function in the State-run schools.
Following requests from various quarters, including political parties, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has advised that LKG and UKG classes would continue to function in government schools and required teachers would be appointed, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said in a statement here.
The Minister said at present LKG and UKG classes were functioning in 2,381 government elementary and middle schools.
