Chennai : SIMATS School of Engineering (SSE) organises a two-week Faculty Development Programme with various hands-on training for the faculties.  As a part of the programme, the faculties went to visit few industries around Chennai with an objective of providing an insight on know-how of the companies and gaining information on the hands-on aspects of the courses being visualized.  Chancellor Dr. N M Veeraiyan appreciates such walks to Industries encouraging to better understand the current corporate influences, business administrative insights, industry attitudes towards education and career growth amongst the learners and teachers to challenge the prevailing redundancy and deficiency in expertise. During the visit they had an extensive opportunity to interact and understand the working methods and innovative practices at their premises and were experiencing the relevance of the subject taught in the classroom and its application in the real world,” The release added.
