Coimbatore: The special police team investigating the Kodanad heist-cum-murder case questioned Narayanasamy, personal assistant of former AIADMK MLA V C Arukutty, at the Police Recruit School (PRS) here.
Sources said Narayanasamy was close with the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s car driver Kanagaraj when he worked for Arukutty for more than a year after the demise of Jayalalithaa.
A police team led by Inspector General (IG) of Police – West Zone R Sudhakar questioned Narayanaswamy for around seven hours from 11 am at the PRS Grounds. He was asked as to when he last contacted Kanagaraj and if he found anything suspicious in his activities.
It may be recalled a special police team recently questioned S Poongundran, the personal assistant of Jayalalithaa, in connection with the Kodanad murder-cum-heist case.
