Chennai: BJP State president K Annamalai has said his party will come to power in Tamilnadu in either 2024 or 2026, depending on when the Assembly election is held.
Reacting to BJP’s victory in four States including Uttar Pradesh, he said the winds of change in favour of the party have already started blowing in the State.
Annamalai was confident about people’s trust in BJP. ‘People have again shown their support to the BJP,’ he said.
Annamalai mentioned that the victory in Uttar Pradesh is the ‘happiest’. He also recalled how the situation has totally turned in favour of the BJP in Manipur since 2014.
When reporters asked if the BJP would face the polls in an alliance with the AIADMK or seek the post of Chief Minister as it had done in other States, Annamalai said it was too premature to answer that question, and a decision would be made depending on when the election is held.
