Tirukovilur: Tearing into DMK MP A Raja’s vulgar remarks against Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and his deceased mother, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has appealed to the mothers and sisters of Tamilnadu to teach the anti-women DMK a lesson in the 6 April Assembly polls.

Addressing an election rally here, he said, “I saw the statement by DMK leader A Raja. The kind of statement he had made against a deceased woman, it showed they (the DMK) have no regard for women”.

Lambasting the DMK and its ally the Congress for corruption and dynastic politics, Amit Shah said they wanted to win the elections by ‘hook or crook’.

“The mothers and sisters of the State should teach a ‘lesson’ to the DMK in the elections,” he added.

“In the past, the DMK had made such bad remarks against late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa ji. I appeal to the mothers and sisters of Tamilnadu to teach a lesson to the anti-women DMK in the polls,” he added.

Accusing the DMK and Congress of not bothered about the people of the State, Amit Shah said this election was a battle between the NDA, which was moving on the path of development and the UPA which was into corruption and dynasty politics.

He said while Congress president Sonia Gandhi was worried about her son Rahul, DMK president MK Stalin was worried about his son Udhayanidhi.

Exuding confidence of a big win for the AIADMK-BJP front, Shah said the unprecedented support for NDA can clearly be seen all over in Tamilnadu.
