Actor Madhavan’s Maara has been confirmed for release 8 January.

Earlier, Amazon Prime had announced that the film would be premiered on their platform from 17 December.

Maara is the official Tamil remake of Malayalam hit Charlie, the original version had Dulquer and Parvathy in the lead. The Tamil remake has Shraddha Srinath, Alexander Babu, and Mouli in pivotal characters.

Directed by Dhilip Kumar of Kalki fame and produced by Pramod Films, Ghibran is composing the music for the film.
