Chennai: Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder Kamal Haasan will undergo a surgical procedure here tomorrow for the removal of an implant placed in his leg after he suffered a fracture in 2016, his party said today.

Due to his busy schedule in politics and film commitments, there has been a postponement of the procedure for removal of the implant, MNM vice-president Dr R Mahendran said in a statement.

”However, now upon his doctor’s advice Kamal Haasan will be getting admitted to hospital for the surgical procedure on 22 November to remove the implant. Furthermore, he has been compelled to take a break for the next few weeks to physically recoup,” he added.

Meanwhile, AIADMK organ Namadhu Amma has come down heavily on both Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth after they hinted that they would come together in politics for the welfare of the people.

The article alleged that Kamal Haasan who lost to Rajinikanth in cinema is fearing a similar situation in politics. hence he want to align with him and make some gains.

They are two extremes and they coming together is like cat and mouse forging alliance, it added.

Rajini will be taught a bitter lesson if he aligns with Kamal, it said.
