Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today inaugurated a new initiative- ‘Plastic Pollution Free Tamilnadu’- in which 10 lakh students took oath.

School Education Minister K A Sengottaiyan, Ministers, Chief Secretary K Shanmugam and senior officials were present during the function at the Secretariat here. The event was held as part of the Children’s Day celebrations.

It was organised by the School Education Department along with the NGO Green Life. It was also an attempt to get into the Guinness World Records book.
