Actress and former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan was in Chennai today for the inauguration of a new boutique at a mall in Anna Nagar.

Actress Vidya Balan is foraying film production with a short film titled ‘Natkhat’. Vidya on Tuesday took to Instagram to announce the news.

Says director Nandhan Subbarayan, “The crime thriller focuses on the events that happen inside a college hostel. A guy goes missing one night, and his friends set out to search for him. But they uncover several truths along the way.”

Buzz is that Vijay Sethupathi is said to be approached to play Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan in his biopic.

Actor-filmmaker Sundar C plays the lead in a horror film titled Iruttu. The film is written and directed by VZ Durai, who has worked with the likes of Ajith, Vikram and Simbu. Sai Dhanshika will be seen in a prominent role.

Despite having a decent story line with all the right ingredients that cooks up good humour, the film fails to make us laugh. A major let down is the unreliable narration which causes confusion as the film progresses.
