Day or night, Sowmya Sankaran does not worry if she gets a call to rescue stray animals or perform obsequies. Moved by the plight of homeless people and animals, the engineer-turned-writer and a resident of Ram Nagar founded ‘Life with Equality’, a social platform to help the needy, in 2014.
