Sattai fame director Kannan recently approached Goundamani to play an important role in his upcoming film with Santhanam. Says the director, “I met Goundamani sir and spoke about a chance for working along with him.”

He added, “I want him to play Santhanam’s father in my upcoming film because I feel no one else can fit that role. He liked the script however, he informed that it was tough to be a part of the film due to other commitments.”

Sources close to the star comedian reported that he will make a final announcement soon. The shoot for the film is set to begin in August and is touted to be a rural entertainer.
