Chennai: In an early morning operation today led by Madurai Assistant Police Commissioner of Police, a thorough check was conducted at Madurai Central prison. Sources say cellphones and ganja were seized.

The police team that included inspectors, special inspectors among 100 men in uniform entered the prison in the morning and conducted the search inside it. They checked the cells, toilets and kitchens at the prison.
