Sugathan Mohandass, a dancer who is the secretary of Sumukhi Rajasekaran foundation run by the Mylapore Trio, Amarnath, Surendranath and Aparna performed Bharathanatyam in front of the Adhikaara Nandhi during the ongoing Annual Brahmotsavam of Kapaleeswarar Temple.

According to a press release, Adhikara Nandhi Festival is conducted on the third day of the Annual Brahmotsavam and special pooja is organised to the deity on the previous night by ‘Thandarai Vathiyar’ family.

During the special pooja, Sugathan performed the dance for ‘Kaana Kankodi Vendum Adhikaara Nandhi Sevaithanai’, a Tamizh Keertanam composed by Papanasam Sivan, specifically on this ‘Adhikaara Nandhi Utsavam’ and Dhikshitar’s Kriti ‘Ardhanareeshwaram’. Sugathan has been performing during ocassion for the seventh consecutive year, the release added.
