Chrompet New Colony Residents Welfare Society conducted a meeting for all social activists in Chennai to know each others’ activities and achievements on 17 February at New Colony, Chrompet.
Activists from Pammal Sankar Nagar, Nanganallur, Madipakkam, Sembakkam Jayendra Nagar, Rajakilpakkam, Tambaram Irumbuliyur, Pallavaram and Chrompet participated. More than 40 members were present on the occasion. The meeting was presided over by New Colony Residents Welfare Society president V Santhanam.
The association secretary K Subramaniam welcomed the gathering while the secretary of Hindu Mission Hospital inaugurated the session.
Senior activists: Sankar Nagar Mariappan, Nanganallur Rama Rao, Madipakkam Subramaniam, Jayendra Nagar K R Natrajan, Pallavaram Krishnamurthy, Chrompet Murugaiyan, Narayanan and Sridhar spoke about their achievements in both civic as well as environmental issues.
While inaugurating the meet, Hindu Mission Hospital secretary appreciated the selfless services of the activists. He said he wanted more youngsters to take up social service for the benefit of the society. The association vice president J Vilvanathan proposed vote of thanks.
The association is also planning to meet Pallavaram Municipality Revenue Officer to discuss property tax concussion and to clear the doubts of the residents on 23 February (10.30 am) at the association office in New Colony 16th Cross Street Third Lane.
