Chennai: Varun Kumar from MCC beat Mushtaq in the 35th Tamilnadu State Ranking Billiards and Snooker Tournament, that concluded recently here and clinched the title in the men’s category.

Mushtaq initially took 3 frames in a row and Varun got back with a frame break of 61 and again Mushtaq took the 6th frame and then Varun took the lead to clinch the title with 5-4.

In the ladies final, Anupama R defeated Gayathri from Mylapore Club to clinch the ladies title. By winning the final Anupama collected five titles in the State Ranking tournament.
