AGS Colony Residents’ Welfare Association (ACRWA) has taken efforts to contain environmental damage and health hazard due to plastics.

A press release said, ACRWA provided nearly 300 cloth bags to all the members.

“By and large, plastic carry bags are used while purchasing vegetables, groceries and shopping. So our effort was aimed at encouraging the colony residents to use cloth bags instead,” the release said.

To make the bag more purposeful and useful we have designed them with compartments inside so that different items can be kept separately, it said.

The bags also carried messages like ‘no to plastics’ and ‘protecting the environment.’
