Chief guest of Talk Media’s Kolu contest 2018, dance exponent and Bharatanjali founder Anitha Guha said just like choreography there are many innovations made in Kolu display in the recent days.
“Many new themes and fresh ideas have been made in the Kolu displays and people are also interested in trying out new features,” she said.
She further appreciated Talk Media’s effort to promote Kolu.
“Apart from covering news, the cultural side of Talk Media is what interests me the most. They bring out all the unsung heroes in a particular locality. There are so many talents and not all of them are exposed and Talk Media is doing a tremendous job bringing out this talents. This means a lot to so many artists,” she added.
She further said, “I am proud of Talk Media’s effort in promoting Kolu. There are 160 prize winners and this shows how talented people are.”
Om Shri Bharatha Kshetra, founder Suryanarayana Murthy who performed along with the students on the occasion said Talk Media is totally spiritual and creates a eagerness among the public to know what is happening in their locality.
“I am happy that I was able to bring out a Kolu display with the dance performance of our students,” he said.
Guest of honour, young carnatic singer and Keyboard player Sathyanarayanan said parents should support their children and help them achieve their dreams.
“It is because of my parents’ support that I have been successful in whatever I have tried so far,” he said.
He also appreciated Talk Media’s effort in bringing out the local civic issues.

GOOD SHOW TEAM
Nanganallur Talk, one of the 16 neighbourhood weeklies from Talk stable, had the highest number of entries and winners. With a neck-to-neck tight competition, the first prize was given to Mythili Nithyanand.
She said, “It had been a great gala event put together by Talk Media team to felicitate Kolu contest winners. The event fostered our age-old tradition and enabled us to understand the importance of taking this culture to our next generation. Our entire family is happy about being part of the event and we thank the organisation for this opportunity.”
