Tamil Nadu Transport and Electricity Minister SS Sivasankar hit back at AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, accusing him of trying to divert public attention from real issues by making baseless allegations against the ruling DMK government..Speaking to the media at the Secretariat, Sivasankar said that while Palaniswami attempts to mislead people with false claims, several other states have praised Tamil Nadu’s welfare initiatives. He added that Palaniswami, who sidelined senior party members to consolidate his control, had no moral standing to criticize the DMK.
Responding to Palaniswami’s recent remark labeling the DMK as a “shop of lies,” Sivasankar ridiculed the AIADMK leader, describing him as someone who had “usurped the party like a stolen establishment.” He argued that the opposition attacks were politically motivated, aimed at masking the internal divisions within the AIADMK. Sivasankar further noted that Palaniswami’s repeated criticisms were an attempt to regain lost political ground following electoral setbacks and growing dissent among his colleagues
