TTV Dhinakaran, leader of AMMK, has made it clear that his party will not join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He said that aligning with the BJP-led coalition is not possible now.Dhinakaran criticized the way state BJP leaders handled their alliance, especially in projecting Edappadi K. Palaniswami as the chief ministerial candidate without consultation. He claimed that arrogance and unilateral decisions drove AMMK away from the NDA.
He also dismissed suggestions that his departure was influenced by others. Instead, he stressed that his decision was firm and based on principle, not compulsion.
With this declaration, Dhinakaran reaffirms AMMK’s independent political path as Tamil Nadu moves closer to the 2026 state elections.
