AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) has said that Tamil Nadu’s development in the last ten years is because of AIADMK’s rule, not the current DMK government under Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.EPS accused the DMK of taking credit for projects started by the AIADMK. He also said the DMK is failing to manage the state’s finances properly.
EPS is traveling across Tamil Nadu as part of his campaign, ‘Makkalai Kappom, Thamizhagathai Meetpom’ (Let’s protect the people and retrieve Tamil Nadu). He said the goal is to show people how the DMK has failed and is promoting family politics.
He added that many people are unhappy with the DMK’s rule.
EPS also criticised the delay in giving ₹1,000 per month to women under the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme, which was a key DMK promise during elections.
He promised to stop what he called the DMK’s “anti-people rule” and bring better governance.
