London, July 12: A portrait of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was unveiled at the MCC Museum at Lord’s , during the third Test between India and England.Painted by Stuart Pearson Wright, the artwork was based on a photograph taken 18 years ago. It features an abstract background symbolising Tendulkar’s timeless legacy. The portrait will be displayed in the museum before moving to the prestigious Lord’s Pavilion later this year.
Tendulkar called the moment a great honour, recalling how India’s 1983 World Cup win at Lord’s inspired his cricket journey. “With my portrait now going up in the Pavilion, it feels like a full circle,” he said.
