Chief Minister M.K. Stalin spoke to the family of Ajithkumar, the 27-year-old man who died during police questioning in Thirupuvanam, Sivaganga district. He promised strong action against those responsible.“The cruelty shown to Ajithkumar is shocking. No one can justify it. The guilty will be punished. The government stands with the family,” Stalin said in a social media post.
The Chief Minister also shared a video. In it, Minister K.R. Periakaruppan is seen handing a phone to Ajithkumar’s mother and brother. Stalin was heard saying sorry and promising strict action.
He told the family that swift steps had already been taken and assured them of help and support from the government.
