Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his sorrow after 11 people died in a stampede in Bengaluru on June 4. Many others were hurt.

The stampede happened outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Thousands of fans had gathered to celebrate RCB’s first IPL title win.

A special event was planned by the Karnataka State Cricket Association to honour the team. But things went out of control when too many fans tried to rush into the stadium.

The happy occasion turned into a tragedy, leaving the whole nation shocked.
