AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami has strongly criticised the DMK government for failing to act on sexual harassment complaints at the Tamil Nadu Government Dental College in Chennai. He questioned the non-formation of a Vishakha Committee, despite serious allegations against a senior faculty member dating back to March 2024.

EPS pointed out that the delay and continued harassment led to the suicide of an assistant professor earlier this year. Condemning the government’s apathy, he accused Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of failing to ensure women’s safety in educational institutions. He demanded immediate action and accountability.
