In a strong and confident speech at the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) general assembly, actor-turned-politician Vijay made a bold statement about the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections, asserting that the battle would be exclusively between his party and the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
“The state is about to witness an election like never before. The competition will be between just two parties—Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam and DMK,” Vijay proclaimed.
Highlighting his vision of politics, he questioned, “What defines politics? Is it ensuring that every family thrives or allowing one single family to exploit the entire state for their own gain?” He stressed that real politics should be about ensuring the well-being of all people and not just a privileged few.
Vijay took a direct jab at the ruling party, criticizing its governance and accusing it of operating more like a monarchy than a democracy. He condemned what he called “dravidian governance for show, but a monarchy in action,” alleging that the DMK manipulates public sentiment while failing to address real issues.
