A compelling courtroom drama, titled The Verdict, is set to hit screens soon, featuring veteran actors Suhasini Maniratnam and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead roles. Directed by Krishna Sankar, the film is produced by Prakash Mohandas’ Agni Entertainment.

Actor-politician Sarathkumar officially launched the first-look poster of The Verdict on Friday, generating buzz among cinephiles.

Speaking about the film, director Krishna Sankar shared insights into the challenges of setting a courtroom drama in the United States while ensuring it remains relatable to Indian audiences.

“Except for the jury system, there isn’t much difference between Indian and American court proceedings. Also, the events happening outside the court are universal, making it easy for Indian audiences to connect with the story,” he explained.

Thanks to the cooperative and dedicated cast, Krishna Sankar was able to wrap up filming in just 23 days, as originally planned.

Alongside Suhasini and Varalaxmi, the film features Sruthi Hariharan, Vidyulekha Raman, and Prakash Mohandas in significant roles.
