Arjun Sampath, State President of the Hindu Makkal Katchi, has announced a one-day symbolic hunger strike on January 5 at the Palanganatham Roundabout in Madurai. The strike will emphasize the protection of Brahmins, the preservation of Sanatana Dharma, and protest against the alleged anti-Hindu actions of the Tamil Nadu government.

Instead, the government renamed and restructured the scheme as the Kalaignar Artisans Scheme, claiming it was caste-based, he said

While they declare their opposition to Sanatana Dharma, they also claim to have no hostility toward H
