Saidapet police arrested two men from Kannur, Kerala, for smuggling and peddling methamphetamine. The arrested individuals have been identified as N. Rameez (25) and M. Issac (28). Authorities recovered 2.8 grams of the illegal substance from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off, the police were monitoring the CIT Nagar area when they noticed the duo behaving suspiciously. Upon questioning and inspection, the officers discovered the drugs and immediately detained the two men.

The accused were later remanded in judicial custody. Investigations are underway to uncover their network and determine the source of the smuggled drugs. The police have intensified efforts to curb drug-related activities in the city.
