Arvind Swami expressed immense pride in the accolades received for Karthi’s performance in the film Meyyazhagan. He stated, “The appreciation for Karthi’s performance made me feel extremely proud.” He further mentioned, “I don’t act with the intention of competing with others,” emphasizing that his focus is not on competition but rather on enjoying the craft of acting.

Karthi, in response to the film’s reception, shared his emotional reaction to Govind Vasantha’s music, stating, “In Govind Vasantha’s music, even a cow looks divine.” Devadarshini praised the film for its portrayal of femininity, noting, “Meyyazhagan has brought out the essence of womanhood beautifully.”

The film, produced by Surya and Jyothika under the banner of 2D Entertainment, was released on September 27. Directed by Prem Kumar, it features Karthi as the lead, with Arvind Swami in a significant role, Sri Divya as the heroine, and Devadarshini in a pivotal character.

Since its release, “Meyyazhagan has received a warm response both critically and commercially. Even after 15 days in theaters, the audience turnout remains strong. Following this success, the film’s team celebrated a victory event in Chennai at the Green Park Hotel to express their gratitude.

During the event, Arvind Swami reflected on his experience, stating, “This film is one of those unforgettable projects I’ve worked on. I wasn’t here during the release, as I had to travel abroad for promotions. I just returned yesterday. The release was beautifully handled by Shakti Film Factory. Even from abroad, I kept in touch with Karthi, director Prem Kumar, and Rajasekar about the film.”

He emphasised the pride he felt in the appreciation directed towards Karthi’s performance, saying, “I do not seek to compete with others in acting; I have never been one to pursue a competitive spirit in films. You know that. I believe in enjoying the work I do and want to work in such a beautiful environment.”
