In a recent political reshuffle, Ramachandran, the MLA from Coonoor constituency, who was earlier removed from his ministerial position, has been appointed as the Government Chief Whip.

This appointment follows the elevation of Govi Chezhian, who previously held the post of Government Chief Whip, to the position of Minister for Higher Education. Govi Chezhian was sworn in as the Minister for Higher Education yesterday.

The official announcement regarding Ramachandran’s appointment as Government Chief Whip was made by Legislative Assembly Secretary Srinivasan.

This move is part of a series of adjustments in the Tamil Nadu government, following the induction of new ministers into the cabinet.
