Chennai: On Thursday, the price of gold in Tamil Nadu saw a significant decrease, with the yellow metal dropping by ₹240 per sovereign. As a result, gold is now being sold at ₹53,440 per sovereign.
This decline follows a recent trend of fluctuating gold prices in the state. In addition to the sovereign price, the cost of gold per gram has also fallen by ₹30, bringing it to ₹6,680 per gram.
While gold prices have seen a reduction, the price of silver remains stable in Tamil Nadu. Silver is currently being sold at ₹92 per gram, unchanged from previous days.
