Udhayanidhi to submit status reports on govt projects to CM

Trichy, August 2: Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin announced on Thursday that comprehensive status reports on the progress of government projects and the reach of welfare schemes across all districts will soon be submitted to Chief Minister M K Stalin. Udhayanidhi revealed this during a press interaction at the conclusion of his two-day inspection tour in Trichy.
“District-wise inspections on the projects and welfare schemes are being conducted. Detailed reports will be presented to the Chief Minister shortly,” Udhayanidhi stated at the Trichy Collector’s office. The minister emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of its schemes reach every corner of the state.
In the evening, Udhayanidhi, along with Ministers K N Nehru and Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, presided over a review meeting with officials from various departments. The meeting focused on assessing the implementation and impact of government initiatives in the region.
As part of his visit, Udhayanidhi also traveled to Pachamalai hills to assess the infrastructure and living conditions of the Malayali tribal inhabitants. At Pachamalai Pudhur village, he conveyed that the Chief Minister had specifically instructed him to personally meet the tribal people to ensure that government schemes are effectively reaching them.
Reassuring the community, Udhayanidhi promised to bring their concerns directly to the Chief Minister’s attention and ensure their prompt redressal. During his visit, he distributed government welfare schemes amounting to Rs 6.6 crore to 1,893 beneficiaries, underlining the government’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities.
In addition to his inspections, Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurated two fleets of refurbished Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) buses. These buses will improve transportation for residents of Thenpuranadu, Vannadu, and Kombai village panchayats in Pachamalai. He also launched a free bus ride initiative for tribal women under the Vidiyal Payana Thittam, in the presence of Transport Minister S S Sivasankar.
During his visit to Chinna Iluppur in Kombai panchayat, Udhayanidhi met Rohini, a tribal girl who recently secured admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Trichy after cracking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). He commended her achievement and praised her determination.
Earlier in the day, Udhayanidhi inspected the breakfast scheme at Union Bharathi Elementary School in Allur village, Andhanallur union, where he interacted with students and teachers to assess the effectiveness of the program.
