Chennai Central BJP candidate Vinoj P Selvam has unveiled his manifesto titled ‘Central Chennai Guarantees’, outlining a comprehensive vision for the development and welfare of the Chennai Central constituency.
With a focus on healthcare, Selvam’s manifesto promises the establishment of AIIMS-like multispecialty hospitals in every Assembly constituency within the Chennai Central Lok Sabha seat. These hospitals aim to provide world-standard healthcare facilities, with special emphasis on women’s health services to combat prevalent diseases such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, anaemia, and osteoporosis. The strategic objective is to significantly reduce the incidence of these diseases, with a long-term goal of eliminating cervical cancer altogether.
In addition to healthcare, the manifesto pledges to introduce social security schemes for drivers, aimed at enhancing their financial and social well-being. Furthermore, each Assembly constituency within Chennai Central is slated to be equipped with Navodaya schools, providing quality education opportunities to the youth. Additionally, the manifesto aims to empower women entrepreneurs by facilitating Mudra loans ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh, targeting 30,000 self-employed women per constituency. Street vendors will also benefit from interest-free loans of up to Rs 50,000, fostering economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
Continuing the government’s commitment to food security, Selvam’s manifesto promises to extend the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, ensuring free rations for the underprivileged for the next five years. This initiative seeks to alleviate hunger and ensure access to nutritious food for vulnerable populations.
Recognizing the importance of sports in youth development, Selvam’s manifesto emphasizes the promotion of sports excellence by establishing playgrounds and sports fields equipped with necessary amenities. These facilities aim to nurture the talents of aspiring athletes and foster a culture of sportsmanship and competitiveness, with the goal of producing future Olympians.
Addressing reporters at Kamalalayam, Vinoj P Selvam articulated his commitment to realizing the promises outlined in the manifesto.
